BETTY'S TEACUP PUPPIES

Our Veterinary Commitment

Thoughtful veterinary care, responsible preparation, and the well-being of every puppy remain at the heart of our process.

Care From the Very Beginning

At Betty's Teacup Puppies, the health, comfort, and well-being of our puppies are extremely important to us. We work with veterinary professionals in Canada and internationally to help ensure that puppies receive appropriate veterinary attention throughout their development and before joining their new families.

Because every puppy is unique, veterinary care may vary according to the puppy's age, breed, individual needs, location, destination, and applicable travel requirements.

HEALTH & WELLNESS

Veterinary Health Evaluations

Puppies receive veterinary evaluations and health care appropriate to their age and individual circumstances. Depending on the puppy and veterinary recommendation, care may include:

Physical Examination General evaluation of the puppy's physical condition, development, and overall wellness.
Veterinary Testing Additional testing may be performed when considered appropriate by the attending veterinarian.
Travel Readiness Puppies traveling to their new families are evaluated according to applicable veterinary and transportation requirements.
PREVENTATIVE CARE

Vaccinations & Preventative Care

Prior to joining their new families, our puppies receive age-appropriate preventative care based on veterinary recommendations and applicable travel requirements.

This may include:

  • Age-appropriate core vaccinations
  • Routine deworming and parasite prevention
  • Veterinary examinations
  • Health documentation applicable to the puppy
  • Additional veterinary requirements based on destination and method of travel
OUR STANDARD

Responsible Care Comes First

We carefully select the breeders and partners we work with and expect our puppies to be raised in clean, attentive, and caring environments. Our goal is to work with responsible programs that prioritize the health and welfare of their dogs and puppies.

PUPPY FIRST

If Your Puppy Is Not Ready to Travel

A scheduled travel date never takes priority over a puppy's health.

If a veterinary concern arises or a puppy requires additional observation, treatment, or recovery time, transportation may be postponed until the puppy is considered appropriate for travel.

When this occurs, our team will communicate with the client and provide updated travel information as it becomes available. We understand how exciting it is to welcome your puppy home, but their safety and well-being will always come first.

Veterinary Records

Available veterinary documentation relating to your puppy's care will accompany your puppy or be provided as part of the delivery process. We encourage every new owner to establish a relationship with their own licensed veterinarian and continue routine examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, nutrition, and other preventative care throughout their puppy's life.

THE BETTY'S STANDARD

Health. Care. Transparency.

From the moment a puppy enters our care until the moment they join their new family, our goal is to provide thoughtful preparation, responsible veterinary oversight, and clear communication throughout their journey home.

Important Note

Veterinary procedures, examinations, testing, vaccination schedules, preventative treatments, documentation, and travel requirements may vary according to the individual puppy, age, location, destination, veterinarian recommendations, and applicable regulations. Nothing on this page is intended to replace professional veterinary advice. Please consult a licensed veterinarian regarding your puppy's individual medical needs.
