Our Commitment

Your Puppy’s Health Matters

At Betty’s Teacup Puppies, the health and well-being of every puppy is extremely important to us. Each eligible puppy is provided with a one-year health guarantee covering qualifying life-threatening congenital conditions, subject to the terms outlined below and the signed Purchase Agreement.

Coverage

What Our Guarantee Covers

Our one-year health guarantee applies to serious congenital conditions determined by a licensed veterinarian to be life-threatening, including:

♡ Severe congenital heart defects, Grade 4 or higher
♡ Congenital organ dysfunction resulting in death
♡ Congenital birth defects resulting in death
♡ Hydrocephalus accompanied by a diagnosed seizure disorder

Claims

Making a Health Guarantee Claim

If a qualifying congenital condition is diagnosed, please contact us within 48 hours of diagnosis.

Complete veterinary records from a licensed veterinarian must be provided clearly identifying the diagnosis and confirming its congenital nature. In the unfortunate event that a puppy passes away, additional documentation and a photograph may be required.

All documentation will be reviewed to determine eligibility under the health guarantee.

Approved Claim

Once a claim is approved, a replacement puppy of comparable breed, sex, and quality will be provided, subject to availability. Transportation and shipping expenses associated with the replacement puppy are the responsibility of the buyer.

Preventative Care

Vaccinations & Parasite Prevention

Our puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations and preventative care prior to travel, including applicable core vaccinations and parasite treatments based on their age and travel requirements.

Although puppies are treated for internal and external parasites, reinfestation can occur after travel or exposure to a new environment. Common and treatable parasitic conditions are therefore not covered under the health guarantee.

Exclusions

Conditions Not Covered

Our health guarantee does not cover common, manageable, non-life-threatening, or treatable conditions, including but not limited to:

♡ Luxating patella
♡ Hernias
♡ Open fontanel
♡ Minor skin conditions
♡ Parasites or reinfestation
♡ Blood-sugar fluctuations
♡ Hypoglycemia

Small puppies require consistent nutrition. Owners are responsible for providing regular meals and following the recommended feeding schedule to help prevent hypoglycemia.

Veterinary Expenses

First 72 Hours Following Arrival

Up to $300 USD

Eligible treatment expenses may be reimbursed up to $300 USD, subject to review and approval.

Examination fees, diagnostic testing, routine wellness visits, preventative care, and other non-treatment expenses are excluded.

Complete veterinary records and itemized receipts must be submitted for review. Approved reimbursements may require up to six weeks for processing.

After the First 72 Hours

All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the owner unless otherwise specifically provided for under the written health guarantee and Purchase Agreement.

Purchase Agreement

Guarantee Activation

The health guarantee is governed by the terms and conditions contained in the puppy’s Purchase Agreement.

The Purchase Agreement will be provided electronically for review and signature as part of the purchase and travel process. A completed agreement is required for the health guarantee to remain valid.

Failure to complete the required agreement within the applicable time frame may result in the health guarantee becoming void.

Replacement Policy

Replacement Rather Than Refund

An approved health-guarantee claim provides for a replacement puppy rather than a monetary refund.

Veterinary expenses and transportation or shipping expenses associated with a replacement puppy are not covered unless otherwise expressly stated in the Purchase Agreement.

All claims must be submitted within the applicable one-year guarantee period, and qualifying congenital diagnoses must be reported within 48 hours of diagnosis.

Natural Development

Adult Characteristics

Every puppy is a living animal with unique genetics and individual development.

While we carefully evaluate our puppies and may provide estimated adult characteristics, final adult weight, size, eye color, coat color, coat characteristics, and other physical traits cannot be guaranteed.

Any estimates provided are based on the puppy’s current development, genetics, and available parental lineage and should be understood as estimates rather than guarantees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Helpful Information

How long will my puppy live?

A dog’s lifespan depends on many factors, including genetics, nutrition, lifestyle, environment, preventative care, and veterinary care. With proper lifelong care, toy-breed dogs may enjoy long and healthy lives, but no individual lifespan can be guaranteed.

Will my puppy grow?

Yes. Every puppy will continue to grow and develop.

Terms such as teacup, tiny, or micro describe estimated size and are not guarantees of a puppy’s final adult weight or size.

Why might my veterinarian estimate my puppy’s age differently?

Veterinarians may estimate age using developmental indicators such as teeth, physical maturity, reproductive development, and overall size. These indicators can vary considerably between individual dogs, particularly very small breeds.

The puppy’s provided records should be used as the primary reference for documented age.

Peace of Mind

Clear Protection. Thoughtful Care.
